Tetanus jabs last for about 15-20 years i believe. They also give you a polio vaccination which is oral and its horrible. However if you were bitten and infected with Tetanus and THEN got the vaccination it would do as much good as a water pistol against a fire. However ive never heard of someone being infected with Tetanus in the UK for quite some time. I.e. you would have to be extremely unlucky to catch it.

I've just had a tetnus (fri)- as I got bit by a field mouse on tues. The nurse checked my records and I had my last one when I was 5!! I'm now ok for life apparantly, as I've had my final post school booster. The jab didnt hurt- but my arm has been killing me since fri pm!
Its only just returning to normal- be warned lol!
