Default ferret micro chipping...

went to the vets 2day, had are to kitty cats microchiped, wormed and fleaed. and had harley (the ferret) microchipped,

harly is such a sweet boy, but it took 3 vets to hold him down, he bite everyone of them and draw blood on 1, the cut was pretty bad,
and to top it off,
harley had to had the microchippin needle three times, he moved on 2 of them and the chip didnt go in.
he now has 3 bleedin holes on his back, doesnt seem to be bothering him tho.

hes just sulkin in his pillow case in his cage now..he only goes in there when hes been told off. haha.

it sounds daft but there has been a ferretone shortage of late, the suppliers changed or something and they were having shipment problems. we cant get it at all around here so we go on the tinterweb and order online.
you can do anything to them and you'll be lucky if they notice, makes nail trimming time a breeze

Microchipping is not as good as you may think, I have all my dogs/ferrets microchiped and one of my Lurchers got stolen a year ago, and i found out who stole my dog, and informed the police and said i could prove its my dog by the microchip that she had in her neck, but when she was scaned nothing showed up on the scanner it was all 0s, the scanner did pick up that she was chipped but no numbers, the reason for this is the little shxt that stole her rubbed a strong magnet all over the area that he knew the chip would be and scrambled all the numbers in her chip, I did manage to get my dog back through an other way but i wont go into that on here, and now have them with ear Tattoo's as a precaution that happens again.
