colours of kitties

my kitties went for there usual check up the other day and the nurse said that she bet my tortie is a troube maker lol, which is sooooo true. lucifer is all black and very laid back, but Kit-Cat is a tortie and is INSANE lol. ive always had cats but never realy put the colours with there personalities. does anyone else think the colours and personalities are linked?
(sorry is the spellings bad i cant spell to save my life)

Sure do! There's something that comes along with that orange gene! They didn't get the name "naughty torties" for nothing!!

Actually, quite a few years ago, someone did a study on cats and their personalities and temperaments to try and prove this and I'm sure that the results were that more tortie cats than any other were hyper and naughty!!

There's no question my tortie Siamese is.

I also noticed when I was breeding that my usual Somalis (black gene) were much more active, wired-up and hyper than my sorrels (cinnamon gene) which were quite placid and laid back by comparison!

Yup... My Kallie (calico) is a crazy thing... Whereas Louis, my black and white furball, is a laid back snuggle bunny.

we have two gingers here and they are crazy! evil naughty cats! lol

anyone know what black and white / blue tabbys are supposed to be like...

i have a tortie and if we didnt see her we wouldnt know she was here, lol, but she was a feral and i had tamed her down. although the tortie kitten is the nosiest

We have a ginger tom who's a real cuddle-cat and a bit thick, and his full sister - a black/tortie who's quite clever, more reserved and very, very naughty.

Quite often she will do something that she knows is 'bad' - case in point - knocking the tubs with my breeder mice in them onto the floor, she'll go and get the ginger tom to join in the game, and then when she hears someone coming she flees the scene of the crime, leaving the stupid ginger looking like it was him that did the deed. We quickly wised up to her tactics though.

Our Kallie does things similar... She gets the stupid Louis to do things for her and while he's getting into trouble, she sits and watches and tries to look all angelic. She has taught him to open doors!!!!

I had a russian blue when i was little, and he was really laid back & like to cuddle..

Also had a Tortie and she was mental. Used to go into my neighbours houses through the windows & steal stuff

Kallie has a thing for stealing, too... We've got a tray thingy with flat marbles and a candle on our coffee table. We kept finding marbles under the rug... Well, I have watched her do it. She peaked over the top of the coffee table, then ducked back under, then just reaches up with one paw, and steals one... Then runs like hell! Later in the day, we'd find it hidden under the rug. Idiot cat.
