If you go and do a search then you will see the breed clubs are listed as well as rescues and charitable trusts they are the people to chat to rather than a 'general' rescue who just do dogs..

Breed specific rescues understand the breed, bloodlines (even if we don't know offically who's bloodline its you can generally tell by head shape and type). They will be able to match dog to new owner based on that knowledge ergo reducing the risk of another mistake being made in the dogs life.

The breed clubs will also know if a breeder has had a puppy returned for whatever reason or a dog that's come back, had a schip a few yrs back return at 10 yr old when his owners split up and neither could take him into their rented accommdation.
