Default rearing

this morning i found my mummy rat dead, must of been the heat or something bless her
however i have to rear the babies
i got the bottles and lactol milk but dont know how much to feed or how often
at the mo its trial and error
i have also used cotton wool to make them go a toliet
any help out there please? xxx

it might be easier and better for the babys (proper milk and all that) to fine someone local who has a litter the same age and foster them across i do this with mice that are bad mothers with sucess (have done it with rats to)

Lizards- 2 Bearded dragons, 4 yellow throated plated lizards, 5 Birbon geckos, 16 leos, 4 fat tails, 3 tokay geckos, 1 curly tailed lizard, 2 dwarf sungazers

Other animals- 7 Labrador, 3 ferrets, 10 degus, 3 chins, 1 chipmunks, 100mice n rats, 20 odd gerbils, , 7 hamsters, 13 spiny mice, 2 stripey mice, 4 guniea fowl, 2 old english game chickens, 2:2 cream legbars, 6 silver applyard ducks, 1:3 Gold Dutch Chickens, 1:2 Black Turkeys, 4 Bourbon red turkeys, 5 Bronze Turkey

Hello, i have 3 rats that are feeding babies atm so if all else gos bad then i'm sure one of mine would foster them still older and then you can have them back, and i'd need to know how old your ones are as my mum rats are great and have taken on younger ones when one mum just didn't want to know...

after hand rearing myself for a few days i have noticed another of my rats preggers and have put her in with the babies
she has now let them suckle
only thing is i think im gonna lose one of the dumbos cause its so skinny bless
i will keep you posted thanks x
