what are you feeding? maybe offer abit of apple (mine used to love that) or offer a tiny bit of bread in milk to see if it will start eating something.

It may be too far gone to help

I think if it's in real bad condition, putting it to sleep is the best option.
Weldone for taking it in.

please don't give it milk. at least not cows milk anyway. most animals can't handle the amount of lactose in cows milk and it can scoure the digestive tract. one more problem he doesn't need. if you realy must give it milk then get some cat milk. critical care formular is also good if you can get some. it has a good mixture of stuff that is easy to swallow and digest and will kick start the system again.

have u got a pic? ive been keeping guineas/gerbils for 16 years and seen it all really...you really need to make sure that the gerbil will be warm...try and encourage it to drink as much water as possible too as it will more than likely be dehydrated...i pray that he hasnt eaten anything harmful...i hope his teeth and mouth are okay too, the poor thing. please keep us updated and its a worderful thing you're doing xx

It's about half a foot from the radiator that i left on so its warm and it has a house with cotton wool, it ate a little apple today but it looks like it has cuts all over its mouth, i also gave it a dab with a wet bit of cotton wool and alot of caked on blood came off of its eye.
