yeah, that would be about right. rooks all breed at almost exactly the same time each year, so all the youngsters in the country will be about the same age, give or take a week or so. crows are the same but breed a few weeks later. jackdaws fledge the same time as rooks, about 3 weeks ago, and magpies started about a week ago. given his age he could be either a late rook or an early crow. was there a rookery around the area you found him?
