all species exept european otters are DWA, with good reason. they have a nasty bite, and generaly a nasty attitude to match. that being said, I have always wanted one. a friend of mine is a zoo keeper and she works with asian short claws on a daily basis. fantastic animals, and great fun to interact with but you can't let your guard down, she has had a couple of near misses when they have gone straight through gloves and wellies, bairly missing flesh. I too have worked with both short clawed and europians but never handled them.
