Default Ferret in a Hutch

One last question...ive been looking though some online pet shops and the like and everywhere seems to say a 'cage' is whats needed to house a ferret!!

Is there a reason a ferret cannot be kept in a 'rabbit hutch' as i feel i can get more room for my money with a hutch??

Surely more room equals happier pets?

Thanks again.

No just places like 'Pets@Home'.

It may just be the way things are advertised but whenever i clicked on the ferret home options it always came up with silly priced cages that where twice the price and half the size of some hutches!!

I thought i was being daft asking this question as i couldnt think of a reason why a hutch wudnt be suitable.

Thanks for that mind...thats the answer i wanted

Ferret cages are good if you live in a flat and don't have garden space. Otherwise hutches are fine. All mine have been in hutches. Better still is ferret runs. If you can get hold of a good joiner (or even if your handy with tools yourself) you can build a hutch-run combo which is ideal really

Mine have always been kept in 2-tier hutches or sheds - I like the double hutch layout as they tend to keep one floor completely clean.
