Default Breeding GALS

Hi
Does anyone know if there is anything you can do to encourage Giant African Land Snails to breed. I have 10 of them that I want to breed. I would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks

With mine once I'd got the substrate deep enough for them to burrow into they were away with the breeding, also put the babies on a laying box in 1 of my viv's and they grew a lot quicker again when I put the adults in they laid more often.

It really depends on the species you have.
Same rules apply to each species but if you have Fulica it's really pretty impoosible for them not to breed. The problem will be what are you ging to do with upwards of 400 eggs every few weeks??
They are ideal for feeding to tortoises or fish.
If you have ifferent species, such as Marginata, reticulata and Tigers, they don't lay as many eggs at one time.
Your snails will have to be about 9months to a year before they start to lay eggs, some species older, how old are they?
Fulica don't need any special treatment to get them to breed as long as their environment is fine they will breed when they get to the correct age/size.
Some other species need a higher temperature and a drying out period. This is a period during which you would not spray the viv but let the humidity go little lower. Do this for maybe three/four weeks and then spray generously to dampen the substrate. During this time the snails will not be as active as usual but as soon as the substrate is dampened they will become more active and then hopefully lay eggs in a few weeks.
I, personally, have not tried to breed my snails, I have fulica/Margie's and Reticulata and one solitary Tiger, but this has not stopped them breeding.
I realised the drying out period worked when I went away for a few days and when I came back the substart had dried out a bit and the snails laid eggs within 2 weeks.
