Default Advice Needed

Hi, I wanted to get an opinion
My 14-year-old mixed doggy collie could not get up last week. She was lame on her back left leg. The vet said that she is not a candidate for surgery due to some arthritis issues in all of her other extremities. She limps on her front left foot. I hate to see her this way and was wondering if it will get better or is this the way she will always be?

I've found with my female mastiff, who is 8 yrs old so quite old for a mastiff, who has both OCD and Arthritis that when I give her Glucosamine with Chondroitin she is a lot better.
She has gone form not being able to get up in the morning and being water incontinent to running round like a puppy. Mind you that's only for a few minutes not all day.
Before I found out about this she was on painkillers from the vet that were not only very expensive but didn't seem to work either.
It may take a couple of weeks before you see much improvement but it's worth trying.

You can get it from any health food shop but it is usually on sale on Holland & Barrett.

Hi
My dog suffered from the same disease an effective and natural way to provide your pet with pain relief and improved mobility. Magnetic therapy dog collars are used to help conditions such as arthritis, rheumatoid diseases and hip displacia. I found the product at. Magnets For Health
Hope this helps you.

the first dog i ever owned was a border collie and she lived to be 17 almost 18 years old...and she developed the same type of condition around her 11 or 12th year of life...and we took her to the vet and the vet gave us some pain pills for her and as soon as she got one in her system she was fine...the condition didnt return until she was in her last year of life....i doubt that helps at all

but best of luck

It's not Obsessive Compulsive Disorder!!!!!

It's Osteochondritis dissecans.
It affects her shoulder joints as it is a problem with her cartilage in that area.
Although my dog is a Mastiff this is the problem she has.

ocd

She was literally living on Metacam, at £45 a bottle every 2/3 weeks, until I put her on Glucosamine and Chondroitin.
