umm yes...

like the decision that 94p (or is it 96P) out of every pound you donate does NOT go towards the animals, but instead pays to revamp their several million pound head quarters.. leaving pence for the animals..

oddly enough, thats not often... how did you put it.. oh yes

maybe less money on nice wallpaper and carpets, would mean more money left for decent caging and water bottles???

just an idea.. you never know.. but why not spend the donations on the animals, not the carpets, and improve their lot in life... why would the rspca not want to do that?? beats me!

the only way donations actually go to local centers is if it is directly donated to them, street collctions, collection boxes, bequests ect are spent on head office.
the rehoming centers have to fund all their own expenses, even their vans.

(as told to me by an inspector whos information I have no reason to doubt) so they dont even lok after their own

ahhh this is a sticky subject,i rang them concerning my neighbours 2 GSDs shut in an 8 by 6 room from 6.45am to 6pm every day,no ventilation,no food/water and no exercise apart from the back garden which theyve concreted and they said as long as they check on them once every 24hrs theres nothing they can do..........this IMO is far worse than giving a rat a bowl, they probably have loads of unwanted rodents and house them best they can,im not siding with the RSPCA,theyre crap but its not a huge issue here

i dont think it makes ANY difference wether the animal is a rat or a horse, they should still be cared and provided for PROPERLY and obviuosly the rspca arnt doing that so they should be ashamed of themselves as an organisation that preaches so highly

i always use water dishes rather than bottles with rescue and quarantine animals as they are much easier to ensure absolute and proper cleaning whereas bottles can get scratches etc inside which can carry bacteria that you can't scrub.

also, i personally find that dishes are better in tanks as they will eat rubber suckers, silicone, metal holders etc and it means you have to clean them and resfresh water at leat daily whereas botles can be forgotten about.

UCL and VLA use dishes for these reasons.

hope this makes you feel a little better.

Yep and they also 'sacked' a volunteer officer down here, Diana Lewis, who worked day and night during the foot and mouth business. The reason, they wanted to employ a paid officer and wanted her van back. There was a big stink over it down here in North Devon and a campaign was started by the local rag, and as a result we know have the North Devon Animal Ambulance, a charity independent of the RSPCA and doing sterling work round here.

Ive always said and alway will say that RSPCA are just a bunch of the biggest hypocrites around on animal welfare ,
did you know that there headoffice closed down a number of there kennels which ment euthanasia for many many HEALTHY animals and in there place went up a "nice brand new state of the art office" with air conditioning too! oooooh , just goes to show what the rspca prioritys are.
this info came to me by an rspca inspector
