I did ask. One of the vets is known for turning sick animals away, and has a reputation for it. The other vet, which I have been using most recently, arranged for me to come in just before 6 with Misty, and when I said I couldn't pay there and then, they simply said that if I couldn't pay at least half of the cost at the time, then they would be unable to help.

I have really let Misty down, and now he is suffering because of me. I feel so bad.

I have been calling as we chat online, but I have been unable to get through to a real person. Still trying.

btw..the number for the cpl is the national number for Sussex or something, and the one listed for Inverness is a Glasgow number. Off to search the yellow pages...

Success!!

Got out the old fashioned yellow pages, and got a number fot a cp branch near me...told them my predicament, and they are arranging an appointment for misty tomorrow, and I am paying them back at the end of the month. Pendlehog, you are right, they are fantastic!!

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done tonight, but when i get home from work tomorrow, I will have an appointment to take my cat to....at the vet that initially turned me away.

Thanks everyone for your help, and I will let you know how it goes.
