Default Who here keeps Owls?

as the title says, who here keeps Owls?

i started a thread in Off Topic, cause i'm looking for owl feathers for to make a dream catcher for a friend on another forum who i got for the secret santa over there this year and they absolutely adore owls.

now i already have one person here who is going to try to get me some owl feathers (and i am so amazingly grateful to them for that) but the more i can get the better i can make this dream catcher for my friend.

plus the thought of being able to cover it in feathers from a whole range of owl species just makes me really excited about seeing her reaction when she gets to open it!

so following the suggestion of another forummer i have started this new thread up here in other pets and exotics in the hopes of finding some in here who don't wander down to off topic!

so can anyone else help me?

Love For Lizards keeps some owls. If you need feathers, you should try Ebay, there are plenty of feathers for sale on there, from many different species of bird.

yes Love for lizards is the one who's already trying to find me some, and i've trawled through ebay for the last week, and have ordered some other types of feathers as back ups in case i can't get enough to decorate it.

Or try asking your nearest bird of prey centre or zoo if you could have some feathers & you would make a donation?

Been and had a sift through the aviaries and freezers today and found no feathers, sorry. The only ones we have available are those from Juvi Harris Hawks (Wings and Tails). Going to have an ask around a few barny breeders we know and I'll see what I can come up with!

I don't have an owl so I can't help I'm afraid, but I just wanted to say what a lovely idea this was. So nice that you're putting so much thought into a secret santa, really very sweet.

That's a lovely idea. We keep barns, tawnys and burrowers (good for tiny feathers!!). I'll keep an eye out and if I find any I'll PM you.
