Lol yeah, wood shavings. Mine would never burrow in it and then I read that you could use peat and they loved it! Also doesn't get smelly as quicky. But gerbils do get dirty!

Wow! Thats like a mansion! I once tried my gerbils in one of those habitrails I had from one of my hamsters, needless to say thet started to eat it! So they went back into their tank.

Mine lived to quite a decent age (except the one that the cat ran away with ). I found them much more fun than hamsters. I'd love some more but the OH hates them, he says they're the devil
