Default a few skunk shots from the mobile phone..

thanks sam!

these are just a few i have grabbed, normally whilst out and about with the guys!

first off, holly... I've been taking them out and about to get them used to the outdoor world and being shown off...

Holly, learning to drive!! you know Gremlin Rides... well this Gremlin drives!

makes for a tiring day, all the driving practise she did!

and as for meeting all the new people.. well this is a friends hubby, who was baby sitting holly whilst she and i loaded the van up.. we came back in to find the pair of them fast asleep on the sofa.. emma got a pic of them still asleep, as i took my shot they both woke up - i don't think either of them was impressed..

and this is Pro, tucked into a jumper round my waist, this is how i carry them about sometimes! i was preping veg for them, when he stole an entire corn cob, with leaves still attached! he got corn juice all down my front the little sod!

sorry, they are not the best res.. but you get the idea!

they don't smell much no, they have musk to them, but indoor skunks kept on the right diet, smell less than most peoples dogs (including my own) i must say!

when you say "where do you get one from"..

well you take a boy skunk and a girl skunk... add, mix, stir, and leave to mature... lol...

as with any other animal, you find a decent breeder and wait for availability

there were quite a few about earlier this year, these are two of the ones that i had in for treatment.. skunk youngsters play lots of rough and tough fighting.. so all in all this year i have had skunks with broken legs (bitten through) skunks with prolapses, skunks with half their back cut out, skunks who have been bitten through the eye.. and quite a few with just small bites on the nose and face.. trouble is bites turn into a nasty sore, which then takes a few weeks to fully heal over. all the youngsters i have kept from this year, bar one, are ones that i've had in treatment for one thing or another.. i'm just a sucker i guess.. my little lad with the broken leg is doing well.. he needs more work on socialisation, but has been kept very quiet for the break to heal. Pro and Holly are getting well known themselves now (Pro = prolapse injury Holly = half her back cut out) little female choc (eye bitten through) is now at the stage where i can see she may still have an eye, and little boy choc, the only un-injured one i kept, is just a nutcase..

i need names for the chocs... do i go native american indian, like i did teyah.. or base it on chocolate bars? Mmm...
