i dont know anyway in your area it is a great thing to do i used to fly and hunt with a female red tail hawk but you really need to go on a course well worth the money and a harris hawk is a great bird to start with

I've been told by a lot of falconers that Harris Hawks are the best starter birds too! They are very intelligent (so are most of the hawks & falcons of course), but they apparently are very dog-like in their behaviour towards humans.

It is a very complicated hobby if you want to fly them, because they do need a lot of attention and if you intend to fly them, they have to be kept at a certain weight to do this. You will be taking on quite a commitment.

Don't start with a buzzard! Experienced birds. Start with a harris hawk or something similiar and remember that these birds need a massive commitment and a huge amount of time and patience. If you really think you're ready then good luck but I advise you to think long and hard about it...
P.s You don'thave to answer this but how old are you?

I am 14 too! I really seriously considered this but I had to realise that, despite the fact that I live deepin the countryside with my dad, I just didn't have the time what with school and work. You have to relaise what a huge commitment it is, I don't want to put you off but this is a really big thing, if you have the time and space then go for it but you really do hve to have the space and time, sorry to go on!
If you decide you can do this then good luck to you!
Ben
