some of my mums birds

a baby umbrella cockatoo

a hyacinth macaw

some baby greys

a grren winged macaw

Greys will only become noisy and stroppy if you dont give the attention they need, you have to remember all parrots especially greys are very intelligent so can easily become bored.

yes but other animals dont fly or live in massive flocks, alot of other animals are not anywhere near as intelligent as a parrot, years ago it was acceptable to keep small primates in small cages, now its frowned upon do you think that will be the case with these small bird cages in time to come?

lots of animals live in large groups and even if they dont they live in massive areas. i understand where your coming from but all my mums birds are kept in large avairys(i know there not as big as the wild) which they can spread their wings and fly. I read the law on the size of a cage needed for certain parrots though and its pathetic.
I dont belive in will ever come to the same as primates

thats the thing, I dont think its bad to keep primates as long as the setup is correct and large enough cages and correct care, where as some people will disagree with that, the same goes with birds in my opinion, my mates girlfreind has a couple of budgies and they are just kept in a cage in the front room, they can fly a little from perch to perch, but its more of a hop, I think they need more room, and someone else I know had an african grey that constantly lived in a small cage where it had one perch and could hardly move and this was a specific parrot cage.

But a lady whos house I worked in a while back, had an african grey she had a cage in the lounge and an aviary in the garden, it was huge a good 15ft long by 10ft wide and about 7ft high, this is the sort of thing I think should be mandatory.
