Just provide veg like carrots, Caluliflower leaves, apple, strawberrys but only a small ammount at a time.
And lots of hay with the rabbit food. They will be ok in a shed mine have survived lots fo winters in the shed.

Sounds to me like they've got enough protection to be fine over the winter.
Up here in the frozen north, my rabbits were fine over the winter. My hutch was made from 6ply and they had lots of hay bedding in the bedroom. On a really freezing night or when the wind was blowing really cold in the direction of the front of the hutch we used a piece of double glazed acrylic from a conservatory roof which fitted in the mesh bit, just for overnight, but other than that they had no extra protection and certainly I didn't feed them any more to fatten them up. Are they thin? If not, I wouldn't want to fatten them up - could create bigger problems in the long term?

mine just go in the garage, and get covered up of a night. in the depths of winter they get some buble wrap aorund the back and sides of the hutch to try and keep more heat in.

The rabbits will increase the density of their fur all by themselves. Your job is to provide a healthy diet and a dry bedded area for them to go into.
I do up the carrots in the winter - but try not to let them get over-weight especially if their access to running around is being curtailed. You need to watch the water - if you find the water bottles are freezing then keep spare bottles and fill up in the evening, leave overnight to get to our nice warm room temperature and give it to them in the morning.
