how do u know if a budgie is pregnant? do they get pregnant? my female budgie is suddenly getting very fat lol

Females, even withought a male, will still give birth to an egg or two.

Also, you must provide a nest box. They will get sudenly fat like you said, they need an nest box though.

If you gently press on her belly, and i mean very gently, you should be able to make out eggs. They just produce the eggs sometimes, even if the male if present hasnt fertilised them. My female has laid probably 4 batches of eggs now. No male in with her.
