She's a lovely dog, look at those eyes.... well done you for taking her in

One of mine, the choc lab, was owned by the man my son rented a room off when he first left home - my son told me the man left him in a small room downstairs all day while he was at work, and then got mad with the dog for making a mess or chewing.... so I paid the man £100 and took the dog, he was only 9 months old for goodness sake... didn't want to pay good money to that peasant of a man, but the dog was worth it - he's nearly 8 now and as daft as they come!! All mine are 'rescues' in one way or another come to think of it.... 2 ex racing greyhounds, an elderly border collie now about 13 yrs old, we've had her 18 months cos her owners were 'emigrating' (well you have to believe them don't you), and 2 youngsters that were the result of an unplanned mating by someone who should have known better (and owned both parents).... it does make me so mad reading about and seeing these sad cases, it's all so flippin' unnecessary..... grrrrrrrrrrr

been after a dog for a while, this darlin wouldve been ideal
Absolutely gorgeous, has got those "trusting" eyes you dont get with most dogs, not gonna say good luck as you wont need it with this one, just "Well Done" absolutely stunning, you should be proud, not only of the good thing your doing by providing a home, but also proud of the gorgeous creature youve aquired

i hate the way some people treat their dogs. my li'l yorkie is a rescue/stray no idea how old he is but i just can't imagine someone not wanting him. while walking him one day i came across a female staffy trying to get into a chicken coop. there was one around but she had an i'd tag on so i took her home and phoned the number. the response i got was, i'll come get her when i'm ready. give your number & i'll ring to let you know when i'm gonna get her.

at the time, i was like oh o.k. if it was me, i'd be out of my mind wondering where my dog had gone & be straight round to pick him up.

and another thing, not long ago my daughters friends (only kids) found a dog and went knocking on doors to see who the owner was. they never found out so one of the mum's took it in for night. the next day they found the owner who didn't mind admitting that she'd let the dog out coz she didn't want it. she had other dogs as well, for some reason she wanted them but not this one.

that's my rant over with.

Absolutely agree with you Teshu.

Tarantulabarn, those are 3 beautiful dogs you've got there and yes, well done you for giving that poor dog a chance of a good life!
