Just thought I'd highlight that a bit

When we were having our shed dug out, there was a nest of mice under there. They all ran, and ended up in the house. So out came the ttraps. And the dead mice were put in the chicken run, and 12 pinks between 50 hens. They were goine in no time.

I never feed mine meat because we're all veggie so any scraps they get tend to be rice, pasta, fruit ... all of which they love.

I'm going to show my ignorance now because I've no idea what the added ingredients are in luncheon meat (if anything), but the only thing I'd want to check for is added salt. I never give my girls any leftovers I've salted or added strong seasoning too.

I've been told from other breeders to give mine dogfood to give them some protien. And this was from breeders who show there chickens and win top awards. But only twice a week.
