Default people who know about mice and rats i need you advice

ok so i put all my plants in the shed this winter as some where to delicate to be left out. my habiscous has been nibbled at and at the base of the steam has been dug out about 2 inches in cercumfrence. the bottom of my bay tree has also been nibbled at and two burrows have been made one about 2 inches wide and about as deep as the pot (8 inches) and the other burrow is a bit smaller. in my bulb pots somthing has made burrows but the bulbs have not been nibbled at i can take some pics but dont know how to put them up if some one has an email address and can do this for me it would be great. do you think these are made by mice or rats. i cant see any droppings in the shed. the shed is quite new and i cant see any holes that anything could get in. help

Could be wood mice moving in cause its a little cold and food is scarce. I had one in my cold frame ate up from underneath the pots and ate my seedlings. was watering them for weeks and could not work out while they were wilting. Seeds gone top left, bless them!!
