Default bitches in season...

How often should they come into season? Wils was in season when i got her in November - practically 4 months to the day.
When i asked about getting her speyed i was told it should be done half way between so early february. Pretty sure she's coming into season now as there's a few blood spots appearing on the floor.

If there's blood spots she's in season now.... but not on heat yet.... that happens after the blood stops. Keep her indoors while it lasts - a bitch in season will be looking to get out to find a mate as much as a dog will want to find her.

Contact your vet tell them what's happened and make a date to have her spayed in a month or so.

They should've made a date for it well before now, a month after her last one would have been ok.

How old was she when you got her? They don't normally start seasons until about 9 months old or over a year, and are not always regular like every 6 months, some are 4 months apart, some only have one a year - like us they're all different

I've just found your other posts about her..... and her behaviour..... a handful eh.....

she was 22 months when i got her and was supposed to have her done this month. Keeping her in will be hard she needs walking right now although with her and Rio going nuts at the sight of another dog i don't think they'll have a chance to give her a seeing to..

probably explains why a friends dog humps my leg for hours whenever he sees me lately.

They come into season on average every 6 months. It varys from breed to breed though. Yes you have to wait about 2 - 3 months after they've had a season. thats when we got ours done

I had a bitch that was having seasons roughly every 11 weeks, my vet spayed her 4 weeks after a season, it wasnt without its complications but my vet got her through it and she is fine now. I couldnt cope with them any longer, as soon as she finished one she was starting with the next, my poor dog was going nuts!
