This sounds like you could have a case of adrenal disease... has the alopecia been developing for a while? Adrenal disease is thought to be caused by early neutering, how old is she? It might be worth mentioning adrenal disease to your vet, although he should be aware of this. One of the first signs of the disease is hairloss, starting at the base of the tail.

She's 8/9 months old now, so not really too young.

I've been doing a bit of reading up on this and she only really fits in with the 'hair loss' symptom of it, she doesnt have any of the other signs or symptoms.

I think i might see when the vet can see me again although the more i read the less i think its this!!
