Default Rip george and mildred.

I had a pair of Dab lizards handed in to the rescue which we all fell in love with, we called them george and mildred as they acted like a old couple. George had what looked like a large cricket hole on his chest and one on his arm which looked swollen. He went to the vets and after tests i was advised that he had cancer and it was spreading and breaking through teh skin.
I was told it was only a matter of time 6 weeks tops before he would pass on. I was given the option of putting him to sleep, which i rejected as he seemed happy enough chasing his food and mildred around his viv.
over 6 months later, a lot longer than predicted, george took a turn and passed away. Mildred and the rest of my family were distraught. George was sorely missed by us all but mildred most of all as she stopped eating and within a few days of this also passed on. i know it sounds silly and i should know better having had loads of sick animals die on me over the years, but i swear it was of a broken heart.

R.I.P. George and Mildred
