Molly75: i wish you all the best with your venture but what i don't agree with is your attitude of going to a site where obviously if someone had a say about it they would get banned or have warning from your friends who are moderators on the site/or getting members who are your friends to write comments that are negative towards people having a say where you have blatantly tried to paint a negative picture of the people who write or are members of this messageboard which i do not think is a adult way of sorting out things and proving your knowledge and commitment to members where people of this forum can tell people about your rescue operation.

plenty of rescues have had doubts from people at the starting but their dedication and hard work they put into the animals prove their doubters otherwise and have remained polite throughout even when people comments have been negative..it is up to you to let your rescuing do the talking rather than flying off the handle like has been witnessed.

It must be to early and my brain aint working !

What the hell is rankindude2 saying there?

Must be one of the largest sentance constructions I have ever seen, and I still dont get it?

Seems to be saying that molly posts here because anyone who makes an adverse comment gets banned or warned. Also seems to state that those who gave words of support are all friends of molly?

Am I wrong or does that last bit mean that making a reply is 'flying off the handle'

I think I need to go lay down some more....oh, after I go make a great sounding email address on hotmail or such like to show I am a real honest person

I had to go and make a cup of tea half way through reading this post.I then tried to read/understand the rest but lost the will to live before finishing!
I wonder if rankindude knows my friend "randall" from the "geckos looking for a nice morph" thread ,that could be an interesting conversation!
I do have to say i agree with dan,as what rescue center would/could possably turn down financial help?
All the ones i have come across would bite your hand off.

I am new here as you can see by my post count. I popped over to check out what I though was a nice environment where "friends" who sahre the same hobby adn the same goals can chat and stuff.

I don't think that the hostile approach to an otherwise okay thread was totally necessary to be fair.

Molly75 seems to do a job that very few herpers would feel able to take on themselves. From what I read here she takes in sicka dn disabled animals that would otherwise be PTS or left in unsuitable environments to die.

Yes, we all do our bit where we can and I am sure some of the other rescues take in disabled animals too or those with aggression problems or maybe just those who no longer have a home because some woman's 13 year old has suddenly grown bored of the unsuitable pet they got for thier birthday BUT how many of you can honestly say you would be willing to devote all of your spare time and money to those animals which do not conform to what society says?? Sounds a bit over the top doesn't it! But lets face it - not many people would like to have a badly disabled beardie on show for their visitors to admire or a snake that cannot extend it's tongue because it's face s badly damaged through poor care or plain cruelty.

The fact that Molly75 calls herself a rescue is because, it seems to me, that is what she does. She rescues animals that would probably have no place else to go other than over the rainbow bridge. If she were rehoming them all out to people for a standard fee then I could understand the problem some people may have but maybe youshould all think that "rescue" doesn't just mean you take them then move them on so you can take more in.

I am not in any way knocking the work that so many admirable people do - because each rescue centre or individual is just that - adminrable., They each play a very important part in the herp world but to attack one another for the sake of someone being called a sanctuary instead of a rescue bewilders me!

Regarding the mental illness aspect too, surely the same reference should be placed on every keeper out there who has more than a couple of herps. I for one would fall into this catagory - always thought I was a bit psychologically mixed up lmao

I am in no way linked to Molly75 nor any other rescue centre other than the infrequent conversations I have with my local herp society when I find out about some of the rehomes and rescues they have taken in so before anyone accuses me of only comign here to comment on this particualr thread, please don't.

I say good luck to you Molly75 - from where I am sat, at home on my PC, you appear to be doing a fantastic job making the final days of, in a lot of cases, the most special of our herp friends as comfortable and as filled with love as possible

Also, to keep any animosity off the boards (to deem to the rules) should anyone wish to have a "pop" at me over this post, please do it via PM

I actually think sanctuary better describes mollys selfless work, due to the fact she offers sanctuary to sick and sometimes terminal animals.
That of cource is simply my opinion, yes she rescues these animals but then she offers them sanctuary for the rest of there lives so she is beyond a rescue center that rescues, rehabilitates and then rehomes......
sanctuary just seemed the right description, and was in no way ment to be an attack, in fact where does it come across as an attack ? certainly not in one of my posts ???
and as for dens mental illness post, she has already appologised for her joke that read the wrong way.

so hey lets just leave this to lie........... brit its a good forum and its great that one can actually speak ones mind here with out being moderated to death, you should stay around and try it for a few days.

Hiya Guys!

Well I met Paula about 3 months ago when i had little Chucky and i must say that She is one dedicated woman! She has such a passion for animals and will go to extra lenghts just to make a poorly Reptile have a decent quality of life.

Paula pays from her own pocket when it comes to food, equipment etc. And although little Chucky did'nt pull through i still think he was meant to be with her as he got the highest care & loving from her and i am so grateful to her.

So i highly recommend Paula for her work.

Keep up the good work Hunny!!!

ahh i hope thats the case as was same as others and trying to work out what he ment about us mods banning people due to the fact that shes our freind??never met her, this is first time she's posted??

and everyone has a right to an opinion..and to voice it, only time it causes probs is when people voice it in a nasty way, so we would never ban anyone for just voicing opinion!!
