Default Building new viv

Am building some new vivs from plywood

any suggestions about what to use to seal the wood or can i leave it untreated?

was gonna use yacht varnish to waterproof it but unsure if this would be toxic

yup yacht varnish is ideal, will need leaving at least 3 weeks before using so the smell is gone though.
