Ok folks,
This afternoon we have spoken to the father of "Elanor". In short this whole thing has been a stupid mistake by a 17 year old school girl. The list of animals provided came from an AMERICAN website, not an Irish mini-zoo. The plan was for her to take orders for all the animals listed, import them from America and then sell them on to the people here. Unfortunately to do this she made several mistakes. Firstly, she thought that the $19 shipping fee she found on the site was applicable to worldwide shipping. She then assumed she could get the animals here in a matter of days. On top of these she then decided to create the names of 2 people to aid her. The first name that came into play was "Sano" or Takeo Kuroda if you spoke via e-mail - this person does exist, however he has NOTHING to do with reptiles. The second was the name "Peter Hughes", this person does NOT exist at all. In regards to taking money. She has taken money from people, however, this HAS been re-imbursed (the person that pm'd me will be contacted aswell). While the whole series of events has been a pain for many of us i would like to make it quite clear that the college has been informed and both they and her parents will be dealing with the matter. Furthermore, i would like to clear up the matter of "mrd". While they both appear to be in close proximity they are in no way connected and are 2 different people. Hopefully this is a public end to the matter.

Funny, Sano sent me a photo of the ebens leaf tail, or as he called it 'Edans'. it was a really small pic tho, so i thought it a bit odd almost like he lifted it off google.

and it wasnt really a mis-understanding on her part she lied as soon as she said irish mini zoo had gone into dissipation or wateva it was called wen she was actually gona import...i find the whole thing quite upsetting and disturbing...if it really was a school girl error, lets hope she dont try to be to clever again

i prob will get flamed for this but ive never been one to care what people think....
ive been watching the entire thing unfold, havent been involved as such but have been watching everything, and from what it looks like to me, she started all this with good intention, and never intended *scamming or ripping* anyone off, then when it all started to get out of control, she didnt know what to do and panic set in, and all the lies came out, i for one, feel a little sorry for her... damn right she shouldnt have done it, but... we all make mistakes... all be it some bigger than others...

Well hope everyone gets there money back and to think I nearly sent her money myself, I did think her charging £12 for TNT was cheap.
Well done to reticulatus for sorting it out. and for all those that convicted MRD well don't go into law, ever. Not that I am defending his other crimes as I ended up burying the snakes he sent me, but try to think before condemning someone thats obviously innocent this time. As for Elanor hopefully she will learn by her mistake.
