Looking for more freckled monitors if anyone knows anyone that has any now I have room?

Yeah I know! I figure its that hard to get them in the UK that if I start now I should have some offers by the time I can sex mine lol.

Saw a nice trio on Varanus Inc in the US but they're not willing to ship to the UK.

Might ask them but there is a risk they will get them from the same source and they will end up being related - not good to breed with.

I spoke to Wharf last week. There appeared to be new people working in the reptile section although I hadn't been there for a few months. Anyhow, the lad there reckons they are very rare, that it would probably have to be imported and I can expect to pay something like 1500 for one.

Whilst your there you can give them disapproving looks about their adult boscs enclosures.

bloody hell £1500

what size viv is bosc in? i dont like the size vivs for most of the monitors. especially as they are wild caught.

Yeah you're in for a shock. The adult boscs, of which there are 2, are in separate vivs. The vivs are about 2' long. You will see that the bosc occupies about half the viv whilst it is turning around - very sad.
