seems quite a lot of work to me! i never realised you needed so much room for a tortoise no wonder people buy them when they are little babies them seem to want to get rid when they are older.

Ditto, sounds like quite a lot of work to me too, especially if you have other reps n animals to care for..

Never knew they were that demanding, worthwhile i bet though, but still demanding as any rep..

Nice set up though Nicky

i have been reading this topic with great interest and my feelings are that red footed tortoises are easy to look after if given the correct instruction and guide on how to maintain them by the supplier i work in a pet shop and we give care sheets with every animal that leaves the shop and we have never had any complaints from people saying their red foots are ill or worse because of inproper care and wrong instruction so i agree with tarantulabarn and nickys last post!
but that is just my opinion

i wasnt having a go at taratulabarn i was just saying it does look like quite a lot of work involved but thats coming from a snake keeper who only has to feed his pets once a week or so and change water daily. no messing about with fresh fruit etc. they sound like they get fed better than me!
