Colubrids seem to be a big hit within the UK as well as Royals , as more then all other. I believe the reason for this would be they are very small and hardy species. Great for the begginers too the most advanced reptile keepers. And just overall very great pets that don't take up alot of room . Overall reasonably priced as well for the majority of the morphs available. Certain morphs above others have more popularity on the market then others. But I found out working alot over the past 14 years at reptile shows, there is a market for all species. A majority of the reptiles owners I have met , like the more colorful and albino morphs, above all others. I too like the true colors myself for the most part. The Kisatchie Corn , in my opinion honestly does not have the bright colors and such, so making it less disirable too many, how ever its not just with this species, Its in many species of lizards as well as snakes. Its not a bad thing tho so don't let that discourage you by any means. I will give you a example on some boas I breed too, The argentine boas, I personally love my argentines black and white markings. Many others do not. I can post the neonates online and have done so, and maybe sell 10 in 2 weeks online. If I take the same species too some of the shows I attend, the market their I can move out a whole clutch in a 2 day event easy. Besides this , alot of morphs today were produced by the less wanted colors , until breeders actually seen what they can do, such as the snow corn. Albino bred too a annery , too produce hets, then from hets, the wonderful market for the snows took off. So in truth of the matter, its up to the reptile owner on his or her prefrence, not what another reptile owner would say.

its not got great colours and its not even a pure corn, so not sure what people will make of it.
its not that different to anything we have had before anyway

I agree with you cornmorphs regarding any hybrids of any species. Most reptile owners in general wish too keep true localities pure . Its been a very contraversal argument over the years from around the World. I can't see many of dull colors being a popular species in general such as I stated about the Argentine Boas. However, there will always be a market for any species, but the size of the maket , no matter what species, is yet to be determined I think not only in the UK, but I feel as well from any Country. It all depends on what a person looks for in a new pet. I know many people from Canada, America and the United Kingdom , who will choose a new pet snake for its disposition and the actions the snake takes with the purticular person, no matter how reasonable the price of the reptile is or the animals colors. It could be a £10 valued reptile. I praise these owners no matter what. The reason for this is for what I see in the reptile medical field as a Emergency reptile Tech for two vets offices. The pet owners in all exotics who choose their pets, because of love for the animals, any personal bonding with there new pets instead of colors or genitic factors, Our the people who grant these animals a good home and who will take care of their pets dispite the value of the proper husbandry and care or even medical aspects of their choosen pet. Many times a year, usually from November thru March, I medically treat reptiles through the vets office that come too me from reptile owners that choosen these species because of colors and or morphs for breeding purposes. Out of 100% of these people , I would say 60% percent fail to respect the reptiles care or enjoyment of a reptile as a PET. Its a total shame and I know all of you thats been in reptiles for a decent time have heard these stories. Well anyways cheers too all, and have a wonderful day.
