Make your own. Its really simple.
Go to your local garden center and get some galvanised steel 5mm mesh. These come in easlily handleable sheets which you can get about 4 guards out of and cost about £4 each. the guards need to be about 25 squares deep by 18 squares "square" if you know what I mean. Cut them out using some tinsnips (you can get these from the pound stores on markets etc for a couple of quid) Fold it up to make a box with an open top and they either solder the joints (which is what I do) or "stich" them together with binding wire. cut the top corners for a couple of squares deep and fold them outwards to make the lips to screw to the roof of the viv. Job done. It takes about half an hour to make each one and costs about £1 each. I sometime sell my surplus one on ebay for £5-£8 each depending on the size. The size I have stipulated here is sufficient for a 60w bulb in a small holder. If you are going to use anything higher than that like a ceramic heater for example, the cage needs to be bigger to keep the animal further away from the heat source. Hope this helps. Paul
