This is a genuine Cooks not a amazon as most are sold as in shops. Its a male approx two years old , he feeds well and sheds well . Be warned this snake is not for beginers . He is very quick and as with all Tree boas can and will bite without any warning. If your interested give me a call on 01142014536 for further details . This is a rare species of Tree Boa.

Probably not a scam as such... either one of two things: the guy was sold it as a cooks and so is selling it on as a cooks (and doesn't know any different or he's trying to bump up the price of an ATB (like EVERY other 'cooks' boa for sale in shops and on classifieds in the uk without paperwork) # No CITES paperwork = not a cooks (at least if it was it'd be pot luck as without CITES paperwork it'd be and illegal import and could have come from anywhere) |

I don't have any paper work but the snake has been verrifyed by the reptile vet at Knowsley Safari Park. He said it was definetly a Cooks due to the fact he has less than fifty rows of dorsal scales 43 to be precise. I had the animal given me by a guy a work who was frightened of it. I will post some pictures

how old/big is it and how long have you had it?
Without CITES paperwork, even if it is a cooks, it's worth no more than an ATB, unless you have CITES paperwork showing it came form the correct islands (or islands) ie St Vincent or an island very close to it. There are very VERY few cookii in this country, be nice if this was one but unless it either has paperwork or can be traced to snakes with paperwork if it's CB then it's not a cookii |
