You cannot send snakes out by special delivery post office. It is illegal and inhumane due to the handling, and the likelihood of the animal dying should the parcel be delayed, or lost - as they often are with the royal mail.

ive just had a scan on tinternet african house snake, and this is a titbit of an article.....

Hatchling House Snakes vary from 15 - 25cm (6 - 10 inches) in length. When adult the sexes are dimorphic, the males rarely exceed 90cm (3 feet) in length, whereas the females usually reach between 90 - 120cm (3 - 4 feet) in length. Females attaining sizes longer than 150cm (5 feet) are not unheard of.

Its still illegal and bloody inhumane, you can send inverts through RMSD although even they leave a lot to be desired and no matter how many times you write fragile handle with care or this way up they still get tossed about and they would do no different with the snake. You are a bit of a tool to be honest when there are couriers that can deal with reptiles and I can tell you one thing it costs me just £6.50 to send a spider through RMSD there is no way it will cost £6 to send snake through RMSD for one being a heavier package. Your ad and your integrity has bad news all over it.

Friend, it is ILLEGAL - against the law - to send animals with backbones (this includes snakes) by the UK Royal Mail. In order to send reptiles you need an account with a courier that will carry reptiles. At this time, TNT is the only courier I know of that will carry reptiles.

I'd dearly love to buy a couple of house snakes from you... but I'm not risking their lives nor getting myself in trouble by knowingly having them shipped by Royal Mail.

Lastly, the genus name Boaedon was changed in 1983 - they are now Lamprophis fuliginosus - and are you sure yours are fuliginosus and not the very similar-looking capensis?
