Can any1 else back this up? If I was to buy an unrelated female banded, the offspring would be spider as Iv neva heard of that b4?

Neither have i and can i just say i really did need the laugh!! Thank you!!

Banded isnt fully 100% proven as genetic yet, its thought to be co - dom or dom but the problem is that not every banded animal is genetic, some are just banded royals.

I know a couple of people with banded pairs that have been producing banded babies i can ask if they hope to produce banded babies this year if you're thinking of keeping him??

hahahaha aaaw bless u...he is a stuner, and I am so tempted to keep him back, but sadly i need to pay for the rest of my viv stack so dont think I can....Just out of curiosity if his banding was genetic and he was put to a normal female, would the offspring be normals? xx

lol thats the fun bit, its depends on whos opinion you listen too, some swear its co-dom, some swear recessive and some swear its line bred, Ive even heard someone say its a locality marking.

Me, i go with co-dom if hes genetic.... makes sense to me.. the ones ive seen bred have certainly seemed to be co-dom just like genetic blackbacks but then the train of thought where theyre a touch of all three makes sense too.... LOL

As for the banded x banded = spider thing, the only thing i can think of that involves spiders when you're talking banded royals is that if you put a spider to a banded you can reduce the spider pattern on the spider babies but apart from that i cant think of a thing....
