IMO Iggy's aren't expensive to feed, change your diet to theirs and you'll both eat healthier. That's what I do....with the exception of the flowers lol
I don't think that they are hard to keep either. Put in the work (as you should with any animal) and you'll be rewarded by a great "pet". They're v.intelligent and you can toilet train them, they come to you when called (when they're in the mood to), etc.
The only issue really is the size they get. Some people don't realise how big they can get and so don't have the space to dedicate to an adult. But I free roam mine so space is not an issue. This will put your heating bills up though and you will need to Ig proof your home.
