Default Adult Breeding Pair Columbian Tegus

I don't have all of the information yet, but here we go:

From tomorrow I will have for sale a 3 year old breeding pair of Columbian Tegus - Tupinambis teguixin

These are a proven male and female, having laid 6 eggs last year.

Please note these are not the Argentine Black or Red and White Tegus! Please research Columbian Tegu if you are not sure what they are (sometimes called Yellow & White Tegu)

These are currently fully grown at approximately 2.5-3 foot length, weighing 6 - 8 lbs. Note that the lifespan of these is not known to exceed around 8-10 in captivity, therefore these have about 5-7 years left. They should breed this year, and for several years to come.

They require at least a 6 foot long, 3 foot deep and 2 foot high enclosure.

I will be adding photographs and a "temperement analysis" tomorrow. I am told these are not tame-tame, but are not overly aggressive or snappy.

These are not often seen as adults, and have been overtaken in popularity by the far less active, and more docile argentine tegus.

I am open to offers or interest from genuine parties with the facilities to house these

I'm hoping someone interested in breeding these will take them on guys, they have been mating and have not laid eggs this year, so please don't ask if I will split them.

They are a pair and have always been a pair, the male is quite protective of the female, and more aggressive when you try to seperate them. The female is perfectly handleable. The male is a little aggressive but seems only to be so if he perceives you as a threat. They are both currently on rodent and chick diets.

So here are the pictures!

Daisy (female)

Rex (Male)

Pair

You very rarely see this species as an adult for sale, especially not a breeding pair, tame (ok relatively speaking) and healthy.

Ok Ok.. to stop the offers of £20 and some belly fluff rolling in, i'm looking for offers in the region of £300 the pair to responsible owners.

I am willing to deliver almost anywhere in the UK for a reasonable petrol cost based on mileage.. Scotland is the exception but I could meet as far north as I can make it without dying of car sickness! Please PM me your postcode for delivery quote.

Thanks!

<puts belly fluff collection away>

Nice animals, if this was 6 months in the future I would be very interested, but alac alas, can't really spare the cash or the space at the moment. Good luck on finding a buyer.
