I am considering selling my adult breeding trio of ackies, mating witnessed this year, eggs from the older female last year, but this will be the younger females first season.
The older male / female are now 2 years old. The younger female is about 14-16 months old. They are all handleable but fast, inquisitive, intelligent. I keep them at 60-70% humidity on a 1/4 soil / sand base with a large pool, plenty of climbing branches and plants. Reason for sale is - new shop is taking up 26 hours in a 24 hour day and it is unfortunately looking like I may have to thin down my collection a little. I am looking at serious offers for the trio. I cannot guarantee that they will give you eggs. They are not a get rich quick scheme. You do have to provide the correct conditions but these are a fairly hardy lizard. I would recommend a 4 x 2 x 2 viv for a trio. I will be making sure these go to a good home but also intend to get the full value of them. I paid £400 for my original pair, and additionally bought an extra female. I have fed them, grown them on, socialised them, and looked after them well for almost 18 months on the original pair, and 4 months on the additional female. Ergo I am looking for offers of at least £650 for the trio. Hatchlings go from anywhere between £100 to £200 and these eat a LOT of food so please be aware of how much it would cost to grow these on to adults. For those will ask "are they yellow or red" I do not believe in a true distinction between the CB ackies available in the UK. I believe it a colour variance. These are well coloured having been kept under UVB lighting all their lives but if forced to make a decision I will just say these are yellow ackies. This is a heartbreaking sale so please no insulting offers. If you don't like my price don't buy from me, simple ![]()
