i think there are other people looking @ opening a similar venture in the South East anyway. 50p a mile is a pretty steep price.

i personally used rep taxi to deliver me my geckos and have to say they were on time, priced very very reasonably and most of all had the correct equipment and packaging and were also very knowledgeble on the species being delivered.i would never use any other means of transport for my reps unless i was doing the driving myself

interesting thread
i would just like to say we at kyreptiles treat your animals like our own not boxes and we charge alot less than 50p a mile
moaning at me or reptile taxi because we are not greedy will not get you work
plus where do you get 10 jobs at a time from ?
i have never done more than 2 at a time
hopefully the people who use me and reptile taxi will keep using our service dispite your bad remarks
but saying all this i wish you well on your venture
regards to all kev

All I was doing was explaining the difference between my service which is a one customer one trip service compared to the other services, not once have I said that anyone was doing a bad job, half of the things said by the people who have contributed on this thread I havent even said or suggested.

I wonder how TNT who have the funds to take a law suit out for slander would take thier comments? Would be interesting to find out!

The only comparison that I made was that I would never take more than one customers animal/s on a trip thats all! and would only collect from one destination and deliver to only one destination! thus reducing travel and stress on the customers pets.Unlike other companies. Which point of fact is true! Is it not.

How everyone works I have only said that they do an excellent job (point of fact). I suggest that you all read back over this thread then think about what you have all been saying

strange, my reptile courier is called DHL and FEDEX. they charge $50 anywhere in the lower 48 states. overnight. by 10:30AM. hots by delta dash $80. strange you don't have similar companies.i can buy a bucket of lizards 2500 miles away and have it delivered at my door by morning for $50 or about 25 pounds uk.

we do have companies like that over here, but unlike you guys, we have strict animal welfare rules that are getting even stricter.

Right now, if you follow the letter of the law, ANY person transporting an animal as a business needs to be licenced, this would include all the drivers for tnt or other such companies as well as 'taxi' firms

As a result, only one or two of them will touch reptiles, and even then under some conditions.

I dont think you would find TNT would be so stupid as to try that. After all, I know for a fact that not all persons responsible for transporting the animals are licenced. And i dare say there are plenty who would give evidence as to the condition and treatment of reptile packages that they have delivered. And just to cover my backside, not ALL reptiles by tnt are treated in such a way, but some are.

most laws are necessary because decient people can't trust their fellow man. i understand the purpose of all these laws, permits, liscenses, regulations etc. but in my heart of hearts, i feel it's a shame. laws catch scoundrels, but good people tend to trip over them. but hey, i'm a libertarian. you ever notice how all goverments continue making new laws and yet, for the most part people and the situation has always been the same? laws=restriction. something has to be shrinking. could it be personal liberties? someday someone will pass the ultimate law...."STAY IN YOUR HOUSES AND DON'T COME OUT WITHOUT PERMISSION" at that point, everyone will be safe.........from themselves.

Also Habu/... You have a much larger country, and more vehicles on the road, more reason to have vehicles goin up and down 24/7 I guess.

Good you can get things delivered so readily though, for sure.. ofcourse a lot of that to get there by next day would have to be flown in a plane yes? we dont fly usually from one part of the uk to another either so thats a bit slower i guess.
