Sorry but I personally think ill be sticking with Ditta @ Reptile Taxi has I've been quoted £170 from GL5 to CR0 and Reptile Taxi is only £70.

Personally, and I am NOT in the reptile courier market, but did run my own courier company for like 5 years, the price is going to kill most all your business.

Why? well, 50 per mile is fine, its what I charged and that was over 10 years ago !

However, charging from your base to collection, then delivery to your base will cripple it on all bar the local stuff.

Most peeps wont pay that, esp when others are using co loads and back loads and only charging the direct route.

I know getting to collection costs, but thats a cost most customers will not pay for, so you need to try and build up clients to enable multi loads. Not easy to start with, as it means often running at a loss, but others have to build this way, and unless you have some magical business formula, so will you.

I do however wish you all the best in your venture, having been there and done that (had 12 vans on the road) I know how much hard work is in it for you !

I was goin to say in my post last night that 50p a mile would work out expensive for a lot of trips..
BUT then I gave it thought and remembered that this was being advertised for the south east, and for fairly short distances could do the job nicely.
BUT then of course usually if something is somewhat local you can pick it up yourself.
Still.. it will work out well for the customers on certain journeys instead of using reptile taxi on a week reptile taxi arent even down this part of the country etc etc

I think havin a choice of 3 to use when you need a rep delivered is good.. not just to save cash but theres 3 times the chance you might be able to get something delivered on the exact day you want without paying over the odds for it.

EDIT---I just had a wierd mental image after i posted.. of a thread titled "Ipswich to Yorkshire reptile delivery quotes please"
with the idea then that the various couriers/taxis will post or pm if they can do it and for how much etc..
