Thats a cracking setup for £200! If I had it and the space I'd bite your arm off.... As someone said about you could feed it silkworms instead of crix?

and then sneek crix and locust in, but shhhhh

sorry then perhaps you should not be looking at buying one, as they are £150 to buy from a shop without the viv and bits, then every 6 months you will be shedding out more money for new lights.
you will be spending a fair bit weekly on food for him as they do love their food.
so maybe you should have a good read about them and a good think before taking the plunge.
my only misstake was not explaining it properly to my other half

i have to say i have never read this and was under the impression the should be fed crix as stable!
my missus does not even mind too much the locusts, he goes mental for them and steams into the tub before the lid is removed properly.
have been looking at setting up a feeding tank in garage so that no food other than veg needs to be in the house.
maybe use this viv in garage and build him a nice biggun in the house with different levels to climb on.
Think, think, think....ooch this hurts!!!!

Couldn't you try feeding him the dead crix and things? You're wife won't mind them if they are dead will she? Most of his diet when adult is veggies anyway. Silkworms are the finest cuisine for reptiles, just expensive but he should be happy munching away on those.

shop told me about 9 months, but not really sure how true that is as he is 18" and not sure what size he would be at this age.
