I'm wondering if you put a partition horizontally in the middle of this you could end up with both your 4 foot vivs??
4ft converted viv. I'd not actually thought of that until now. Mason |

That would have been perfect, but I've been told I can't have 2 tiered ones coz it might cause the temperature in each viv to be different which would cause problems for my experiment
Shame that ![]() Kate ![]()

That should not be a problem, if the vivs are correctly setup and the heatsources are statted then there shoudl be no problem. Obviously a little common sense like having both "hot ends" at the same end to allow a gradient. As long as your vivs are statted you will maintain whatever temp you set your stat to. Mason |

They're both goin to be on a stat with just lighting for heat, both ends are goin to be hot with the cool bit in the middle, so that both sides of the viv have the same temp gradient, so that temp will not be a factor in where the leo chooses to go.
2 seperate ones would be better, then I can keep one for my ackie so he can come and stay with me at uni, and give the other away. But I will consider a 2 tier if I can get around the temp thing and get the Prof. to ok it.... ![]()
