well louie yours are more expensive then my local shop.
but there is always gonna be people who can get things cheaper and why should'nt they tell people about it.

If some one knew where you could get something that you wanted cheaper you would want some one to tell you about it.

All said and done I breed my own mice for 2 reasons I worked out that i was gonna spend over £1200 on mice in a year just with the snakes I had not counting the ones I was sure to buy and any hatchlings this year and so that i knew they had a health diet and a nice life. My mice are spoilt rotten and get treats and wood chew things and all sorts.

So i completely agree with where your coming from on that front what do the white lab rats that have been specailly bred so that the have litters of upto 25 fed on? I see breeding my own as providing a better quality of food to animals i am responsible for looking after.

the thing is, a lot of things you have said louie are valid, but just dont matter to most people.
the mice i sell at times are as you say 'bashed over the head', and despite what anyone says, this is still the quickest and best way for me.
as for the meal they eat? you get to hear a lot of crap about it, i have grade one lab mice and they eat hamster food, nothing else, just hamster food. had many litters over 30 over the years too.
i know some people like urself obviosuly put more time into them, but without sounding nasty, all they are is food, pure and simple for me and most people that breed.
i dont mistreat them, but i dont treat them. they get all they need and are changed regularly with fresh water every single day (and i used to have over 1000 mice ouch)

I agree with what your saying but still if you want your snakes eating crappy mice sure go ahead when a person eats bad food all his /hers life they are bound to suffer from ill health and im sure its the same for reptiles. As for asking who sells sheaper mice on my thread sure goahead by PM not on my thread and as i said before when i start to have 100s they will be much cheaper like the prices you can all get from bulk places but still the quaility will not go down.

i have used my own (moslty) for 5 years or so and never had problems... mine dont get crap food, they just dont need all the supplements people give them.

i think its where you come from too. Some people pay a lot for mice when others pay next to nothing. Louies prices would be cheap for some people with the amount they need but some people can find them cheaper. Its all to whats in your local area and what and who you know.

your mice prices are pretty much what i pay anyway. The postage will make it a bit dearer but it doesnt really matter.
