I have been looking also but have found that there is a www.ukbeardeddragons.co.uk site in existance. But don't understand why so many people register domains then do nothing with them or hope to make big bucks from them especially if they register them for £6 today and then offer them the next for big money - jusyt greedy with no necessity. |

The erason a lot of the domains is taken is because some people prefer to buy up the regular .com or co.uk so others can not then use it and get confused with the end of the http addy.Some do however then place the other domain names on a free host site but just re-direct any hits directly to their main site and no-one is any the wiser

How do domain names work anyhow? Is it a one off payment? or do you have to pay monthly? I have a tripod site which is really coming along, but the domain name is crap! so no-ones ever going to find it, how would i go about changing the domain name of my site to something better? and what do you think it would cost?

But then u pay for hosting and thats a lot more, say £40 a year? maybe much less. |

so whats hosting? Could i use my tripod site and just pay for a new domain name? Sorry i dont know about anything to do with this! Im just creative, not technological!!! haha
