Hi all,
Are there any Garter Snake breeders in the Shropshire/West Midlands area, or does anyone know of a half-decent dealer in the area who actually stocks more than one Garter at a time?
Not bothered about the species, just so long as I can get at least a pair to start up with keeping 'em again.
I can't travel too far (knackered neck), and I don't wanna use couriers, coz the last time I purchased via a courier I ended up with three males instead of the 2.1 that I paid for.

Somerset is a little far for me to travel these days...I mean...I'm not crippled up or owt, it's just that anything over around 30 miles gives me bad spinal gyp fer about a week after.
The moral?.....Keep off bikes, or when riding bikes, have eyes in the back of your head.

I used to fish the King Sedgemore drain, just above Othery, quite a lot.

Shropshire has to be the world's bum'ole fer obtaining snakes.

I did see a stunning parietalis red side in a shop yesterday for sixty quid, but as usual it was one on it's own and they had no more on their suppliers' lists.
I think I'm gonna have to go back to buy it tho'.

I actually got fixed up yesterday, but couldn't post coz me pewter's been on the fritz.
Picked up a male redside, and got a female coming next week......It's not as nice as being able to pick your own from a cageful, but beggars can't be choosers.
Worst thing that ever happened around here was when the Serpentarium in Walsall closed it's doors, apparently through the demise of the proprietor...Anyone remember the Serp?....Been a fair few years now.

There are some great people on these forums.....I used to belong to another forum site which shall remain nameless, but some o' the folks (not all) on that one were so far up 'emselves they could watch their own dinner digesting....Sense of humour?..Virtually non existent...Just loadsa attitude and slagging each other off.

glad you are sorted. as for the serp, I can remember a rep shop down one of the side streets in the town centre, I think it was up stairs, not sure if it was the same one.
