Adult male geen/plumed basilisk for rehoming
Sadly due to an operation and the inability to care for the lizards as I wish I am having to rehome some of mine. I am having problems finding a good home for my plumed basilisk. I took him on a number of years ago after a reptile shop closed down, believed to be wc, he was living with a female at the time in a rabbit hutch sized enclosure ie about 4ft long 1 1/2 ft high and 1 1/2 ft deep and he is in now a very large vivarium and doing well. I have his daughter which I am keeping. He is of unknown age but I would feel he is not an old boy. He is not a pet to be handled, he will let you clean out but is fun to catch for health checks. He is about 30cm long from snout to vent and a further 60 length for his tail (I am doing this in my head). He is fit and healthy. He needs a roomy and high viv with uv. Lives on mealworms and crickets, will take locusts or anything else you offer. These are amazing animals. I am asking £40 for him or free to a known reptile rescue. It would be a shame not to use him for breeding as he will provide different genes to many of the basilisks out there. Based in Burgess Hill about 25 mins from M23/M25 junction.
