Default FBH Statement re: ERAC show

Statement dated 17:30, 22nd September 2009

Contrary to the information circulated by the Animal Protection Agency, International Animal Rescue and other animal rights extremist organisations, the Federation of British Herpetologists [FBH] can confirm that the Essex Reptile and Amphibian Club show scheduled to take place on the 27th of September 2009 has not been cancelled. The relevant authorities are aware that the event is to take place and are satisfied that it fully complies with the law. The event will take place as expected. To prevent any further attempts to undermine it, however, the venue will not now be announced until Friday 25th September at 6pm.

Awesome. I was really looking forward to this. I'm so glad they've found a new venue.

On a side note.

Has the meeting about other clubs and associations happened yet?

I am waiting for the call from Richard Brook to let me know when it is taking place so I can attend on behalf of the MSRAC.

Any information would be appreciated.

A meeting to discuss various issues will be held, key members of all herpetological societies will be invited to attend. I will post more details on this in due course.

Just out of interest, a lot of people have expressed their frustration with the show being cancelled. Is their anything that forum members can do to assist the FBH with their continued fight against the animal right extremists? I assume some members would be willing to make a contribution towards any legal costs the federation has incurred recently etc.

Just an idea....
