Whilst the image by MSL is appealing due to its colours and is a very nice image, I dont believe it has much in the way of true artistic quality or technical ability.
To me Deans (Triblonotus) image is both technically very good, great composition and shows artistic qualities too. By far the winner to me. Great shot Dean, even better as we know how nervous and speedy thses little ones can be.

Are you joking!? MSL's shot is oozing with artistic quality. At first glimpse it looks like it has been shot in negative or some effect has been added. It's an awesome photo and very striking!

I must say I expected a MUCH higher standard of pictures to make it through to the final considering the amount of fantastic entries.

May the best picture win (which it looks like it will)

Well I'm surprised, and pleased, to be in the final.

But my vote goes to Gambit1993 for that tortoise's awsome shell.
