Its one per mod, but often people arnt around or havnt voted in time and I end up choosing a few... I think I picked three for this month... I always choose last.

In future it is tempting to do one of a few things....
  • Ignore people who throw toys
  • Choose all the pictures myself
  • Stop giving away free stuff on a monthly basis (stop potm)

See where it says this on the page just before you click into this thread?

well each month when the potm starts theres a thread like that...
if you read this months which is now closed [january-habitata] or any before you will see that people just post there pics and thats it, no other discussion in those threads [thats what this thread is for]

So the next one, should be February..

look out for it in a few weeks.
